Fall in the Hamptons is one of the most underrated seasons. While the lifeguards are no longer on duty, the beaches are still open, there are less crowds, and there is still plenty of things to do. Here are 6 things you should do in the Hamptons this Fall.


It goes without saying that Fall is the perfect time to go Apple picking. With abundant farmland, the choices are nearly endless. At Milk Pail in Watermill, a u-pick farm, you can pick your own apples or pumpkins. Open Friday - Sunday from 10:30 am - 5:30 pm through September and October, there are twenty different kinds of apples and pumpkins ranging from minis to 150 pounds plus.


For those who are interested in more culture, there is the Hamptons International Film Festival. Running from October 7 - October 11 in East Hampton, the festival was founded to celebrate independent film and introduce international films to new users.


Appealing to those who have furry friends, the erd Annual Wag-O-Ween Spooktacular is hosted by the Southampton Animal Shelter on October 24th. This family-friendly event offers a dog costume contest and parade, kiddie contest and parade, and more.


Dance the night away to native New Yorker DJ Sally. Influenced by the gritty NYC of the 70s and 80s be prepared to dance all night long.


In honor of the 20 year anniversary of 9/11. the Parrish Art Museum is hosting the Aftermath Exhibit which documents the devastation and reconstruction of downtown Manhattan. This exhibit runs through October 24th.
